The Great Galesburg Balloon Race

Kicking off balloon festival season for Hoppin' Around, about 25 balloons will fly this year. It is their 25th anniversary of this event and Hoppin' Around's 3rd year attending.
Centralia Balloon Festival
August 14th - 16th, 2026
Watch balloons launch from Foundation Park and enjoy seeing their reflections on the pond at the night glows. It will be Hoppin' Around's 4th year in attendance.
Lincoln Balloon Festival
August 22nd - 23rd, 2026
Hoppin' Around's home event and where it all started for me! This will be Hoppin' Around's 5th year!
Lake Shelbyville Balloon Festival
October 9th - 11th, 2026
Around 10 balloons fly throughout the weekend in this fun and laid back event. It is a relaxing end to the ballooning season. This will be Hoppin' Around's 2nd year in attendance.
